In "Blooms and Bonds," I explore the captivating world of plants, focusing on flora of Taiwan. This project bridges my hobby of collecting plants and my mother's connection to home. My work includes creating vibrant garments and textile goods inspired by orchid colors and forms, encouraging viewers to appreciate the detailed beauty of nature. Through this project, I aim to promote a deeper connection to the natural world and inspire others to preserve our delicate ecosystems.

In my work, I utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to craft detailed and intricate patterns and to streamline drafting, adjusting, and visualizing patterns. For example, I have developed a series of seamless botanical textile patterns that can be visualized on possible products before manufacture. Including CAD skills in my pattern design process, allows for innovative solutions and efficient workflow. This digital approach enhances accuracy, consistency, and reduces material waste, making it a key component of my design toolkit.
Through my Koi Silkscreen Prints I wanted to depict a fond memory of home. Due to self proclaimed pet allergies from my parents the only pets my family could keep were fish. My favorite of which were the koi that slept under the lily pads of our backyard pond.
During the summer of 2022, I had the opportunity to be a Textile Design Intern at Ruggable! There, I was able to participate in the re-coloring of existing popular designs to make them suitable for a Nursery space.
For Geometry of Fashion, I was tasked with created 3 shape inspired garments. I chose the shapes: triangle, rectangle, and square. Each garment is made of entirely repurposed or otherwise recycled materials. Inspired by my love of plants, many of the fabrics were screenprinted with abstract botanical colors.
